Our Team (original)

Meet Your OUTbounders!!!

We are excited to introduce our team of OUTbounders, people who believe the only thing better than exploring the world is exploring it together with our fellow LGBTQ+ adventurers. Our OUTbound team all share the love of travel and a sense of community, so what better way to fulfill a life’s dream than to create an LGBTQ+ travel company that combines our passions.

We are one team with a single goal… you, your enjoyment, the memories we’ll make and the experiences we’ll share, together. We look to you, our guests… our partners, to help us enrich the adventures we create with your laughter, your spirit and your support. There would be no OUTbound without our OUTbounders.

OUTbound. No titles. Just team.

Jonathan Bennett

Actor, author, producer, activist and host, Jonathan has added another title to his list of accomplishments as one of the owners of OUTbound. Best known for his breakout role as Aaron Samuels in the hit movie “Mean Girls”, Jonathan was also the long-time host of Cake Wars and Cupcake Wars on Food Network and has appeared in over two dozen films and countless television shows. A leading advocate for LGBTQ+ acceptance and landing (again) on Out Magazine’s OUT100 list of the year’s most impactful and influential LGBTQ+ people, Jonathan is particularly proud of his latest role as the first LGBTQ+ character to appear in a Hallmark Channel movie “The Christmas House”.

With his entertainment reputation well established, Jonathan is setting his sights on his other passion… travel. Newly-engaged Jonathan has always had a desire to see the world, but his busy schedule made traveling a challenge. The solution was easy… make travel a part of his professional career. Now Jonathan gets to adventure out and see the world with our fellow OUTbounders, connecting with fans and like-minded travelers all over the globe as he’s never been able to before! Jaymes Vaughan

Of all Jaymes’s titles… actor, director, writer, and producer, the one that might suit him best is host. With his southern charm and hospitality, Jaymes is exactly who you’d want welcoming you onboard an OUTbound adventure! Being an owner of OUTbound seemed to be a natural progression for Jaymes, who spent his early career working on cruise ships and hosting stage productions all over the world.

After finishing in second place on CBS’s Amazing Race, Jaymes had always wanted to get back out into the world, this time at a slower pace. OUTbound gives him that opportunity, along with a chance to share his passion for travel with his fiancé Jonathan. Together, the pair are building a company that will allow fellow LGBTQ+ travelers to head OUTbound, see the world and share adventures. Memories and moments are what count most to Jaymes, and it’s memories and moments he’s most looking forward to sharing with all those who travel OUTbound with us. Follow Jaymes on Insta @jaymesv

Eric Hodgson

Eric first ventured out into the world as part of a student tour group with his high school. Visiting Venice, Rome, Paris and London over summer vacation, he was hooked. More trips would follow… a cruise through the Panama Canal, a safari in South Africa, spelunking in Belize, camping in New Zealand and a journey into forbidden Iran, to name just a few. All in all, Eric has been to 93 countries and counting, qualifying him as an LGBTQ+ travel expert of the highest order.

Talking with Eric, you’ll find he gets as excited telling you about places he’s been as he does when talking about places he has yet to visit. To Eric, sharing a favorite city or spot with a first time visitor is like seeing it all over again for the first time through new eyes. All our OUTbound guests benefit from Eric’s experience, expertise and enthusiasm. He’s key to selecting our trips, choosing each tour, and tailoring each itinerary for our LGBTQ+ community. It’s long been Eric’s dream to build a company where fellow LGBTQ+ travelers can see the world together in an environment all their own. With OUTbound, that dream has become a reality that all our guests get to share. Follow Eric on Insta @outbound.eric

Danny Franzese

Most people know Danny as an actor, comedian and activist best known for his roles as Damian in Tina Fey’s feature film “Mean Girls” and in director Larry Clark’s “Bully”. However, OUTbounders know Danny as host of our resort programs, the ultimate Camp Counselor ready to welcome you to a relaxing and engaging beach vacation for the adventurous LGBTQ+ travelers looking to do everything or absolutely nothing at all. Danny is ringleader to it all… incredible entertainment, hilarious pool games, and of course OUTrageous parties!!!

Danny’s love of travel runs the spectrum. He’s just as happy walking along a white sand beach as he is exploring the Christmas markets of Europe. One thing that is always consistent is Danny’s love of performing, hosting and getting to know his fellow LGBTQ+ travelers who share his sense of wonder and discovery. For Danny, making our OUTbounders feel not just welcome, but wanted, is his highest priority. Danny knows that an OUTbound experience isn’t fully realized without the participation of every letter in our great big LGBTQ+ community, so be ready for a great big OUTbound bear hug welcome from our host himself at every OUTbound resort event! Deiler Beltran

A fixture in Miami, Deiler is well know to many OUTbounders as a bartender at Palace on the famous South Beach Strip. Born and raised in Cuba, Deiler has always been passionate about traveling the world. After moving to the US with his family when he was 13, Deiler earned a degree in hospitality after graduating high school. Deiler has put his degree to good use, first as a flight attendant and then as bartender at Ft. Lauderdale’s Alibi Monkey Bar.

It was while working at Alibi that Deiler met his husband, Javier. On what has to count as one of the most romantic trips ever, Deiler and Javier got married in Paris during a trip that took them through France, Italy and Spain. Now Deiler and Javier are sharing their love of travel with all of us here at OUTbound, as they fulfill their dreams of exploring the world with each other as husbands and best friends. Javier Montero

Javier was born Cuba, and like his husband Deiler, Javier considers himself lucky to have moved to the US as a young boy with his family. Many of our guests will know Javier from his bartending job at Ft. Lauderdale’s famed Hunters Nightclub. What our guests may not know is that Javier recently obtained his real estate license and is now South Florida’s newest and brightest real estate agent!

Besides Deiler, Javier’s passion is travel. He grew up dreaming of backpacking through Europe, exploring Mayan temples and having a life full of adventure. Javier’s dreams came true in more ways than one when he met Deiler, the love of his life, who also shares his passion for travel. Since getting married, Javier has seen even more of the world, visiting London and touring the world famous Christmas Markets of Germany and Austria, where he saw snow for the first time while ice skating under the stars. Now Javier is seeing even more of the world and welcoming our fellow OUTbound guests to destinations all over the globe! Follow Javier on Insta @javier_mv09

Andy Voisey

Andy was born and raised in the Midwest splitting his time growing up between St. Louis and Columbus. Andy moved to Sacramento in 2015, chasing warmer weather and California dreams. Travel is a huge part of Andy’s life. Any given weekend you’ll find him taking random road trips to Lake Tahoe, the San Francisco Bay Area or even heading for the glitz and nightlife of Las Vegas.

Recently Andy has become somewhat of a world traveler, taking his first trip to Europe and experiencing Oktoberfest in Munich. During Andy’s whirlwind European vacation, he took a roadtrip with friends through Germany, Luxembourg, France and Belgium before ending in the Netherlands. Along the way Andy explored the ruins of Heidelberg Castle, climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower and discovered his new-favorite underground bar in Brugge. But it was Amsterdam where Andy fell in love… with the city, that is. It’s magical when someone connects with a city so completely, but for Andy, Amsterdam instantly became his favorite spot on Earth. So far, at least! Follow Andy on Insta @therealandypandy88
